On October 1, 2024, around 7:33 am., Portland Police responded to the Western Promenade for a report of a person down on the ground.  Upon arrival, it appeared that the 53 year old victim had severe injuries from a potential assault.

The victim was transported to the Maine Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
