On Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at about 8:40 pm, a 41 year old male was seriously injured with he was struck by a car while crossing the road.  The collision occurred at the intersection of Brighton and Taft Avenues.  The pedestrian was transported to Maine Medical Center with serious injuries.  The driver of the car fled the scene heading inbound on Brighton Avenue.

The car is described as a light to medium blue, newer model CRV with significant front end damage.
