Even if you aren’t ready THIS year to swim the 2.4 miles from Peaks to Portland, you can join the many others who join the fun at the East End Beach tomorrow morning by cheering  on those who do swim the annual race for charity!  This 30 year old fundraiser benefits the financial assistance program of the Cumberland County YMCA.

The money raised by this event will go toward the YMCA’s financial assistance program.  In total, the YMCA provided more than $560,000 in financial assistance to members of our community last year according to its web site www.cumberlandcountyymca.org

The awards ceremony begins at 11 am on the East End Beach.
