Partners for World Health Holds Blue Wrap Project Runway Fundraiser Tomorrow

Merrill Auditorium, Myrtle Street, is the Site of a Fund Raiser Tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, 2022.

Tomorrow, Thursday, May 19, 2022, Partners for World Health is holding its signature event at Merrill Auditorium at City Hall.  It’s the first time this event has been held since 2019.

The event is a fundraiser for the non-profit that has already shipped more than $2,000,000 in ugently needed medical equipment and supplies to Ukraine since the outbreak of the war.

The event stars a cast of local, regional, national and international musicl performers and a parallel array of fashion designers.  Blue Wrap Project Runway will present three runways of unique fashions and performances never to be repeated.  They include Ron Raines, Maeve Hoglund, Henry Kramer and Susie Pepper.  These starts will be joined in performance by Portland Ballet, The Richintu Girls Choir and Batimbo United.

Partners for World Health (PWH) facilitates the collection and distribution of high-quality medical supplies and equipment for the benefit of individuals and communities in need both locally and internationally.

Tickets are available through Portix.com.  As of this afternoon, more than half of the tickets available have been sold.  Paul Golding, Director of Development and  Communications for PWH said the non-profit had hoped to sell 1,200 tickets.  But as of this afternoon, 1,000 have been sold.  PWH is still hoping to meet its goal by tomorrow evening.
