An East Elevation Rendering of the Proposed Parris Terraces, to be Constructed at 60 Parris Street, Bayside.
An application for a Site Plan Review by the city’s planning board has been filed by Shinberg Consulting on behalf of Jack Soley, property owner. The proposed 23-unit condominium will be located on a paved parking lot currently used for about 30 vehicles belonging to city employees.
The development consists of twenty-three one-bedroom condominium units of which twenty units will be sold at or below 120% of area medium income ($199,467) for 2017. The building will be constructed with four levels plus a basement under a portion of the first floor. The adjacent surface parking lot will have 23 parking spaces.
The sale of this property by the city was part of its sell-off to assist in financing the move from Bayside to Canco Road. The Economic Development Committee oversaw the process and selected the winning bidders for the properties sold with the City Council’s approval. The cover letter signed by Greg Shinberg, Owners’ Representative, includes a landscape and lighting plan. There is a request to be on the planning board’s agenda as soon as possible.
Another development application has been filed for an expansion from 86 units to 92 units for the Ambassador, located at 37 Casco Street. The application was signed by Bianca S. Garber, of Port Property and dated June 19, 2017.
Applications for these projects may be viewed at the city’s planning office, city hall, on the fourth floor.
