Graham Platner, candidate for US Senate in Maine, announced a $4.6 million fundraising haul for the fourth quarter of 2026, bringing his total raised to $7.8 million since launching his insurgent campaign in August.

With this massive haul, Graham outraised both his primary opponent — the sitting Governor of Maine, Janet Mills – by nearly $2 million and his general election opponent — the incumbent senator, Susan Collins — by $2.4 million.

Graham’s fundraising was powered by small-dollar donors.  The average donation over the quarter was $25.88 and 99% of contributions were $200 or less.

“The fact  that Graham — a virtual unknown before he launched this campaign in August — can outraise the sitting governor and senator is a testament to the kind of candidate he is and the movement he is building,” said Campaign Manager Ben Chin.  “Graham is bringing more and more people into this movement every day.  While his opponents rely on donors who can max out to their campaigns once.  Graham’s fundraising is powered by this grassroots — small-dollar donors who can give again and again.  This is a campaign powered by the people to build a movement to beat Susan Collins and deliver for working people.

This is the second consecutive quarter in which Graham has outraised the incumbent senator.  He outraised Senator Collins by $1.3 million last quarter.

Graham appeared on cable news “Weekend Primetime”  this evening at 7:00 pm.  He responded to a series of wide ranging questions –  from personal to his views on foreign policy.  He passed them easily proving once again that he is “battle” tested – unlike Governor Mills and Senator Collins who have not been subjected to the same scrutiny in a public forum.  In fact, Senator Collins has not held a Town Hall since Bill Clinton was President.  As a DC staff member told this blogger on March 15, 2025, she doesn’t need to hold town halls because she has access to the “Portland Press Herald.”  Graham served three tours of duty as a US Marine in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan with the National Guard.

Graham lives in Sullivan with his wife, Amy, just three doors down from the house where he grew up.
