Protestors stood outside the office of Bank of America in Monument Square yesterday noon chanting slogans like “Banks got bailed out. We got sold out.” This chant and others like it were repeated over and over again in between the start of the protest around 12:15 pm and its end which came about at 1:00 pm.
In the between the chanting, one of the organizers of the event said that 2/3 of all US corporations do not pay taxes,” which started the protestors chanting again which went on. All the while two security guards brought in for the occasion stood watch from just outside the front doors of the Bank.
In the meantime, the organizers have set Saturday, November 5th (tentatively) as “Move Your Money” Day – move it from Bank of America elsewhere.
