A Crowd of Over 30 Enjoyed the First Annual Winter Wassail at the Mt. Joy Orchard on Munjoy Hill Several Years Ago..

You are invited to participate in a work party at Mt. Joy Orchard on Saturday, July 25th.  It runs from 9:00 am – noon.

According to the press release issued today:  “A little light labor and you will earn a few blueberries or rasberries:  that’s  because the group is planning on installing the second half of the hardy kiwi trellis plus planting thornless blackberry bushes, watering trees and scouting for fire blight and sheet mulch if there are chips available.

The 12 year old Orchard is located between North Street and Washington Avenue on the east end of Portland.
