“I need lots of assistance this year,” said Stephen Trott, this afternoon in a telephone conversation.  Trott was referring to the 40th annual Christmas party to be held on Saturday, December 10th at the East End Community School, North Street on Munjoy Hill for underprivileged children.  It runs between noon and 3:00 pm.

Trott said he needs unwrapped new gifts for boys and girls between the ages of four (4) and eight (8) years old.  He also needs money to pay for the rental of the gymnasium at EECS and donations of food would be appreciated as well.  As in the past, Amato’s is expected to donate pizza and soda. One hundred (100) invitations to children have been distributed.  Some Trott has delivered and others are distributed by the EECS.

Packages can be delivered to his apartment at 202 Woodfords Street, 2nd floor.  To make inquiries,  please call Steve at 653-4900 after 5:00 pm during the work week or any reasonable time on the weekend.

It was Trott’s mother, Marie Trott, a long-time resident of Munjoy Hill who started the event 40 years ago.  She died five years ago.  It was a large family and often there was not much money to spend on holiday gifts. So the Trott children want to do their best to alleviate that lack of gift giving for other families feeling the same financial pinch. Marie’s  children, Stephen and his sister Linda York, have vowed to keep the holiday event going.

Thank you in advance for your assistance in this worthwhile Party.
