YOU are invited to attend a rally at Monument Square, Portland on Sunday, June 26 at 2:00 pm.  “We pledge to organize-to fight for our bodies, our choices and our democracy” according to the literature provided by the event host, the Maine Democratic Socialists of America.

This event follows on the heels of the hugely successful rally at Portland City Hall yesterday in which over 1,000 people protesting the Supreme Court’s overturning Roe vs. Wade attended. Let’s make this event another highly successful event as well.

“Republicans like “No-Show” Collins are hoping this anger and outrage will blow over before November,” says this blogger. “It won’t. It will only intensify as women in Texas and elsewhere suffer the consequences of the hubris of the Supreme Court. This is an opportunity to show Republicans wrong in the voting booth this November.”
