Mark Dion, City Councilor  Who Has Been Elected Mayor-Elect in a Run-off This Morning.

City Councilor Mark Dion has been elected Mayor according to a press release issued by the city late this morning.  He and the other newly elected city councilors will be sworn in on Monday, December 4 at 6:00 pm at city hall.

“An ineffective city councilor does not make a good Mayor,” said the munjoyhillnews.com.  Dion’s campaign manager was Cheryl Leeman, a former city councilor and chief of staff to retirned Senator Olympia Snow (R-ME).

Official results will be available by the end of this week after they have been certified by the Portland City Clerk.
