Maine Nurses to Hold Community Forum on Nurse Staffing Crisis & Public Health Next Week

The Grand Opening for the McGoldrick Center was Held  September 27, 2023 on the Portland Campus of USM.

You are invited to atttend a forum on the nurse staffing crisis and public health on Tuesday, December 5th at 6:00 pm.  The forum will be held at the McGoldrick Center, Salon A, University of Southern Maine, Portland campus.

The event will feature Associate Professor Karen Lasaafer, RN, Ph.D. and Meagan Pruden, RN.

“We look forward to welcoming members of our community to this forum,” said Maine State Nurses Association President Cokie Riles, RN.  ‘We hope to have an open and lively discussion about what is wrong with our healthcare system and how it can be fixed.”

The forum is co-sponsored by the Muskie School of Public Service, the Maine Women’s Lobby and Maine People’s Alliance
