Maine Community Foundation Announces Recipients of $$ in Greater Portland

The Maine Community Foundation announced today the names of 16 organizations located in Greater Portland that have received funding from it according to a press release issued today.  They are:

Amistad, Inc., $15,000; Good Shepherd Food Bank, $10,000; Hospice of Southern Maine, $5,000; In Her Presence, $5,000; Learning Works, $5,000; Maine Medical Center, $100,000; Maine Boys to Men, $5,000; Maine Recovery Fund, $10,000; Mercy Hospital, $25,000; Milestone Recovery, $25,000; North Yarmouth Academy, $25,000; Peaks Island Children’s Workshop, $5,612; Preble Street, $20,000; Riding to the Top Therapy, $5,000; The Opportunity Alliance, $10,000; and The Yellow Tulip Project, $10,000.

The Foundation works with donors and other partners to improve the quality of life for all Maine people.  It draws on its deep knowledge of the state to advance its strategic goals.  Founded in 1983, the Foundation has an office in Ellsworth as well as in Portland.
