A Massive Protest Was Held Outside of the White House Today, January 13th,  in Support of a Ceasfire in Gaza.  The President Was at Camp David During the Protest.

You are invitd to attend a press conference hosted by the Maine Coalition for Palestine on Saturday, January 13 at 9:00 am at the Portland Media Center, 516 Congress Street, Portland.

This statewide coalition is calling on Maine’s Congressional delegation to meet with Coalition representatives and to call for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Gaza.  The effort has been joined by hundreds of small businesses and organizations who have signed on to a statewide ceasefire letter.  The groups will preent petitions with more than 1,100 individual, business and organizaational signatures, representing over 10,000 people calling for immediate, lasting cessation of hostilities.  Thousands more have pledged to boycott, divest and push for sanctions against Israel as part of the campaign.

The press conference will take place on the same day as a global day of action for Palestine, when demonstrations will occur around the world and as the International Court of Justice conducts its genocide hearing against Israel, with a judgment expected next week.
