The city of Portland is alerting the public that Portland is under the following weather cautions for Saturday, January 13th:
COASTAL FLOOD WARNING from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm,
WIND ADVISORY from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm.
The biggest concern for flooding is expected with the 12:05 pm high tide on Saturday, January 13th. This tide is forecasted to be around 14.1′ because the storm is expected to bring 2 – 3 storm surge on top of an astronomical tide of 11.1′ This could bring 1 – 2 feet of inundation and potentially bring more coastal flooding than we saw on Wednesday, January 10th.
City crews will be monitorig any flooded streets and will post barricades when necessary, “We urge the public to adhere to these barricades and not drive through flood water.”
