The Maine Community Foundation’s (MaineCF) Peaks Island Fund has awarded a total of $75,000 in grants to ten nonprofit organizations that support the island community.  2023 grantees include:

PEAK’S ISLAND CHILDREN’S WORKSHOP $15,000. for organizational; costs associatedl with the island’s early childhood educatioal center,

PEAK’S ISLAND SCHOOL, $7,692. FOR pRE-k THROUGH GRADE FIVE EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES IN STORYTELLING, STONEWARE AND steam.

PEAK’S ISLAND NEWS $8,018.to launch a bi-monthly newspaper to inform readers and document Peaks Island news and events for future generations.

The Peaks Island Fund was created in 2004 and is sustained through the generosity of Peaks Isalnd residents.
