Maine Celebrates a Century of Tradition at The Big E; 9/12 – 28 in MA

The Maine Buildig Celebrates its 100th Birthday This Year.  This Building is a Dignified Colonial Replice of Maine’s Original Statehouse Built in 1925 at a cost of $50,000.  It features local food and a wealth of vacation opportunties in Vacationland.

Artist Ebenezer Akakpo, Born in Ghana, Has Become a Leader in the Creative Community in Portland.  He Has A Business on Washigton Avenue and Will be a Vendor on Septenber 27 – 28, at the Show in  Massachusetts. He Received Recognition for his Award Winning Decorations of Bus Stops in Portland a Few Years Ago.

Maine will again be open for business on the Avenue of States at the Eastern States Exposition, home of The Big E, in West Springfield, Massacahusetts.  The largest fair in the Northeast runs from September 12 – 28, attracting more than 1.6 mllion visitors annually.

Since 1925, the Maine Building has welcomed millions of visitors to experience the state’s farms, forests, fisheries, artisans and entrepreneurs, all under one iconic roof.’

Highlights in the Maine Building this year include:  Maine Day – Saturday, September 13; 4-H/FFA Day, Saturday, September 13 and Harvest New England Day, Friday, September 26, 2025.

The Maine Bullding, built in 1925, was designed as a permanent exhibition hall to showcase Mane’s culture, commerce and craftsmanship.  A century later, it remains a vital hub where fairgoers can experience the tastes, artistry and spirit of Maine in one destination.
