A listening session has been scheduled for this afternoon at East End Community School, North Street, in District 1. The session runs from 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

This is an opportunity for the public to express their concerns and ask questions about Portland’s public schools.  It is not specifically intended to address the proposed school budget, although that subject may come up during the hour long listening session.

The event is hosted by the Board of Education’s Public Affairs Committee, and is dubbed “Conversations with Constitutents.,” by the Committee.
