A reincarnation is in the works on Munjoy Hill!. From FIGA, formerly a romantic dinner hot spot, to the LB Kitchen – the interior and the menu itself is a dramatic makeover and a welcome one.

It was four years ago this month that FIGA at 249 Congress Street on Munjoy Hill closed its doors.  That delightful space has been empty for too long.  But that is about to be remedied with its reopening on Monday, February 20nd, according to Lee Farrington this afternoon.

Unlike its previous configuration, LB Kitchen is open for breakfast and lunch five days a week.  Unsurprisingly, the menu for both meals is anything but traditional from this untraditional woman. For breakfast there are breakfast bowls, a breakfast salad, The Toasts, egg “things,” a chicken bone broth and a children’s menu. Breakfast is served between 8:00 am and 11:00 am. Lunch includes LB bowls; the Figa of wild boar, an avocado toast, children’s menu, once again the chicken bone broth and a sweets menu. Lunch is served from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.  Costs for all menus are mostly just under $10. with several items just over $10.  Wine and beer are available; Oxbow, Urban Farm Kombucha, Austrian Gruner (white wine) are on tap.

Coffee by Tandem and various other drinks are available all day.

Farrington says she has been drinking chicken bone broth for years.  It’s good for your intestinal health and for your skin.  She has found it very helpful in dealing with her own gastrointestinal issues.

Welcome back to Munjoy Hill – it’s about time, ladies!
