be music,  fun activities, organization tabling and nonpartisan voting information in English, Somalia and Arabic!

At 5:00 pm., the group will march to Monument Square, where refreshments will be served and activities will continue.  From there, Portland voters will be walked over in groups to city hall to vote!

“November 1st is the last day for early, in-person voting in Maine.  What better way to be heard than to rally together and march in solidarity to lift up our voices collectively,” according to a press release from the Maine Women’s Lobby, Augusta, the non-profit who is organizing this Pollfest.

The number of absentee voters as of this afternoon is up by between 2,000 and 3,000 voters over the comparable gubernatorial race in 2014 here in Portland according to the city clerk.

The event is free and nonpartisan.
