Graham Platner, Democratic US Senate Candidate from Maine on MSNBC Cable News — Both Last night and Again This Mornng on “Morning Joe”. He’s an Oyster Farmer, Vet and Also a History Buff.

President Trump With a Drawing of his Ballroom – a Subject he Pivots to Rather than Talk About Issues Constituents are Interested in. Like the War in Iran, The Cost of Living Increases Becaue of it and His Tariffs and the Corruption in his Administration Already 61 of the Population is Opposed to the War on Iran.
The dropping out of the US Senate race from Maine by Governor Janet T. Mills yesterday, has put Graham Platner front and center in the national spotlight – a place that Mainers are unaccustomed to. It has a lot to do with the fact that Mainers are united in their determination to defeat card carrying MAGA member Susan Collins in the upcoming November election,
In an in-depth interview last night with Jen Psaki in prime-time cable news, Graham outlined his agenda against incumbent Senator Collins. “She is not a moderate, although she wants to fool you into thinking that she is,” he said. “Susan Colllins sent me to fight in Iraq. We need to stop her kind of politics. She owns that.” Psaki responded lightly: “I’m concerned. Very concerned,” mocking Collins.
Significantly, Graham admitted that he had heard from Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer earlier in the evening. Schumer has famously supported Governor Mills for this race – a posiion that caused dissension among some democrats who opposed his more conservative preferences – like Governor Mills.
Then this morning Graham showed up on the “Morning Joe” MSNBC cable news show for an in-depth interview with its host. Extremely articulate, Graham covered a wide range of topics. “Congress has abdicated its war powers authority. It’s personal for me,” he said having served four deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan with the US military. He said that during Senator Collins tenure as a US Senator, the “largest transfer of wealth has occurred.”
“They will tear him apart if he’s the nominee,” Governor Mills is alleged to have told the New York Times in an interview last month. This remark was found mid-way down an extensive article today entitled: “Mills Bows Out of Maine Senate Race as an Insurgent Rises.” Governor Mills tried that herself with extremely nasty attack ads against Graham They didn’t go over well with Mainers. So much so that her DC campaign team pulled them quickly. These ads backfired on her – no doubt causing her poll numbers and fund raising efforts to tank significantly. Do you think attack ads from Susan Collins would go over any better than they did with Governor Mills?
The New York Times piece continues in the next paragraph saying that Governor Mills’ “struggles were palpable. And her light campaign schedule, complete absence from the air-waves…………..bewildered supporters from Washington to Maine.” It should not have surprised anyone: Governor Mills is 78 years old. Mainers know that. Her DC Senate CampaignTeam did not know that. She may have taken pains to look younger than her age, but she is her age.
Mainers decided she’s too old and too moderate for prime time.
