Frankie, a two year old cat reported missing on this blog earlier today has returned home according to his owner Milk Quinn, a resident of the Hill. She said that Frankie left home on July 3, 2026 and returned home under his own steam on July 9th – appearing no worse for the experience. He was gone on a mysterious journey for six days. So far, he is staying “mum” about his trip and his whereabouts. Did he enjoy the Easern Promenade fireworks? Ms. Quinn said she had him checked out by her vet immediaely and he gave a “thumbs up” to Frankie.
Ms. Quinn who is from PIne Plains in New York state moved here recently to do graduate work at USM in counseling. She is one year away from completing her studies. Her undergraduate degree in psychology is from St. Lawrence University.
Ms. Quinn has had Franklie since he was a kitten. of about six weeks in New York where he was found abandoned in a street. Her mother who is with a pet adoption program in New York introduced them to each other she said this afternoon on the telephone. “We’ve been together ever since,” she quipped.
“He weighs 15 pounds. The vet assured me he was well and had not lost a single pound,” Milk said laughing.
