First BPM Drum Festival on Bayside Trail Coming This Summer

The first annual BPM Drum Festival is coming to the Bayside Trail this August 1, 2026 according to a press releaase issued by the Bayside Neighborhood Association earlier this month.  This event is made possible  thanks to a generous grant from the Levit Family Foundation, which leverages the power of free, live usic to strengthen the social fabric of communities, creating places people love while amplifying local pride, actvating underused public space and fostering more healthy, equitable and thriving communities one city and one concert, at a time.

Bayside is one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the State of Maine.  Long neglected and red-lilned by cynical city policies, it is now the subject of intense land speculation according to the press release issued earlier this month.  Meanwhile, the vacant lots and unkept promises can make it hard for residents and visitors to enjoy our few greenspaces.  The Bayside Trail was designed to connnect the neighborhood and crete positive change and the Bayside Neighborhood Association is committed to making that promise a realty!  The BPM Drum Festival is our chance to do just that and celebrate our shared hope for the future.

A perfect fit for Bayside!
