One of the Trophies to be Awarded Tomorrow Afternoon at the Canopy Near Ocean Gateway

The first annual Old Port Hoopla Tournament will be held tomorrow at the Ocean Gateway Queing Lanes between 9 am – 5 pm. Registration is now closed. The event is sponsored by Patrick Hackleman, of Casco Bay Sports, Portland.
“It’s 3 v 3,” said Hackleman this afternoon as he took a short break from preparations to talk about his newest project. There are mens, womens, high school and middle school teams registered – twenty-five teams in all ready to go tomorrow morning. Each game will last 25 minutes. Most of the activity will be in the morning Hackleman said. “This is a very active community with a lot of young people here. A great place for such an event,” he said.
Trophies will be awarded between 3 pm – 4 pm under the highly visible yellow and white striped canopy next to Ocean Gateway along Commercial Street.
Sponsors of the event are Orthopedic Associates and Coca-Cola.
