Douglas Grant, 36, of Portland has been identified as the one person who died in a three alarm fire on March 6, 2025.  Four others were injured in the early morning fire .

On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at approximately 8:00 am., investigators from the Fire Marshall’s Office (FMO) executed a search warrant at 11 Olympia Street, Portland, in connnnection with a fatal fire that occurred at the property on March 6, 2025.  The investigation is ongoing and investigators will be actively working the scene for the next two days.  As part of the operation, the area surrounding 11 Olympia Street will be closed to traffic.

The public is advised to avoid the area while investigators continue to collect evidence.  As this is an investigation, we won’t be getting into specifics at this time said Shannon Moss, Public Infomration Officer for the Maine Department of Public Safety, Augusta.
