The Portland Police Department is investigating a motor vehicle crash resulting in the death of 23 year old Robert J. Hubbard, of Vassalboro.

On October 21st at approximately 0126AM, Mr. Hubbard was driving his 2008 Honda Civic Westbound on Commercial Street near Beach Street when he lost control and crashed into a pile of gravel.  The passenger, 24 year old James Ronco, is in serious condition at Maine Medical Center according to a press release from the city.

The factors causing the crash are currently being investigated.  Anyone with information regarding this crash is asked to call 874-8532.
