Preparations for the fifth annual Harvest on the Harbor got underway this morning when crews began unloading large white tents on the waterfront that will house the many different activities planned for the event; it runs from Wednesday, October 24 – 27, 2012 at the Ocean Gateway Pier. Attendees must be age 21+ and events are non-smoking.
The first event is on Wednesday, October 24th from 6 pm – 8:30 pm. A Grand Tasting on the Harbor which costs $75. per person. On Thursday, October 25 there is the Maine Lobster Chef of the Year Competition. From 6 pm – 8:30 pm, the same day there is the Top of the Crop: Best Farm to Table Restaurant. On Friday, October 26 the Cutting Edge: Culinary College Competition runs from noon to 2:30 pm and costs $65. Also on Friday, from 6 pm – 8:30 pm is the BBQ, Blues & Blues at a cost of $65. Finally, on Saturday, October 27, there will be two identifical sessions of Savory Samplings at the Marketplace for $50. each.
