Rising Tide, Fox Street, Will be the Site of the Emerge Maine Graduation on Saturday, March 24th.

You are invited to attend the graduation of twenty-six future Democratic women (hopefully) office holders from Emerge Maine on Saturday, March 24th at Rising Tide Brewery, 103 Fox Street.  The graduation runs from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

This year’s group of 26 women is Emerge Maine’s largest class ever.  Over half of the class hails from Maine’s 2nd Congressional District and includes diverse ethnicities, sexual orientations, socio economic levels and professional experiences.

“Emerge Maine is thrilled to graduate the Class of 2018,” said Sarah Skillin Woodard, Executive Director of Emerge Maine.  “These exceptional women are on fire and I have no doubt they will seize political opportunities now that they have the knowledge necessary to run an effective campaign.  In fact, nine members of this years class are already running for office!”

Emerge Maine has the proven track record for getting Democratic women elected since the organization launched in 2006, the program has equipped more than 250 women with the skills needed to bring change to their communities.  In 2017, Emerge Maine had a 91% success rate and in 2016, elected both women to the top leadership posts in the House of Representatives.
