Portland Publilc Library, 5 Monuent Square, Portland is the Site of a Cooling Center for Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

The downtown Portland Public Library, 5 Monument Square, will serve as Portland’s coolling center on Tuesday, June 24 during its normal hours of 10:00 am – 6:00 pm.  The city of Portland is activating a cooling center as the National Weather Service has included Portland in an Extreme Heat Watch for tomorrow.  Temperatures are expected to hit 94 degrees with a heat index of 99 degrees.

Additioally, the city urges people to take advantage of the Deering Oaks Ravine and the seveal splash pads around the city.
