Congresswoman Pingree Urges Mainers to be Sure They are Registered to Vote in November

A Munjoy Hill Resident Has a Sign in the Front Yard Urging Rresidents to Register to Vote.

“I believe a better Maine is possible if everyday people  have more of a say over their government which means everyone needs to register to vote,” said Congressswoman Chellie Pingree (D) in a press release issued late last month.

“One of my top priorities in Congress is to strengthen our democracy and make sure everyone has a chance to make their voice heard.  Here are several actions you can take to make sure you are registered to vote:

  1. Register to vote.  If you are not registered to vote or have recently moved or changed your name, now is the perfect time to register.  On-line voter registration is quick and easy – visit Maine.gov/vote to register TODAY!
  2. Check your registration status.
