Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D) has announced that she will not attend the Friday, January 20th inauguration of Donald Trump in Washington, DC.  S he announced dthis decision at a NAACP dinner this evening.

“After giving the issue a lot of thought and consideration, I’ve decided not to participate in Donald Trump’s inaugural ceremonies on January 20th.  I fully accept the outcome of this presidential election, and, under normal circumstances,  would have no question at all about participating in this important ceremony whatever
