US Congresswoman Chellie Pingree (D-ME) today successfullyt submited the required nomination signatures to the Secretary of State to officially secure her place on the 2026 ballot.
Congresswoman Pingree, who represents Maine’s First Congressional District, turned in a significant number of signatures gathered from dedicated supporters across the district. The submission ensures that her name will appear on the ballot as she seeks re-election to continue her work in Washington fighting for Maine famiies, small businesses, the environment and against Donald Trump’s extreme agenda.
“I am incredibly grateful to the volunteers and supporters who worked tirelessly to collect these signatures,” said Congresswoman PIngree. “Seeing the enthusiasm and dedication from Mainers across the First District is humbling and reinforces the urgency of the work we have ahead. From lowering the cost of prescription drugs and fighting for our farmers to protecting our coastline and standing up for reproductive rights, I am ready to continue delivering results for Maine.”
Congresswoman Pingree has served the First District since 2009 and is a leading voice on the House Appropriations Committee, where she advocates for sustainable agriculture, veterans’ care and critical investments in infrastructure and renewable energy.
She will continue engaging with voters across the district in the coming months to discuss the issues that matter most to Maine people.
