The city of Portland is seeking community input on the future of four city owned parcels in the Bayside neighborhood collectively known as the “Midtown properties.” Before these are marketed for potential sale, officials are inviting the public to share their vision through an online survey and upcoming public meeting.
Located in the B-3 zone, the parcels support a mix of housing, commercial and communty uses. Developmet can reach heights of 180 feet (appdroximately 15 – 18 stories), and all four sites are directly adjacent to the mult-use Bayside Trail.
The public meetings will be held on the following dates:
April 15, 2026: Community Feedback Session 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm at 212 Canco Road,
April 29, 2026: Commuity Feedback Session 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at city hall, Room 24.
A summary of community feedback will be presented to the city council Housing & Economic Development Committee at its May 19, 2026 meeting. This input will help shape the final marketing materials and development goals for the sites.
Following a settlement with the Federated Companies that returned the 3.45 acre site to city ownership, the city council authoritized a professional brokerage process to determine the “highest and best use” for the land. The Boulos Company has been selected to assist the City in marketing these properties based on community and Council guidance.
