A city-wide parking ban has been called beginning tomorrow Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 10:00 pm through 6:00 am., January 21st. Vehicles left on the streets of Portland after 10:00 pm can be towed at the owner’s expense.
Due to the severity of the storm and the fact that it is falling on Sunday, the city is encouraging residents to access snow ban lots tonight, Saturday, January 19. This will allow plow crews to have full access of city streets during the storm on Sunday and allow residents to stay home during the worst of the storm. Residents may keep their cars in these lots from Saturday night through 8:00 am on Monday, January 21.
The city is also offering a special snow ban rate at both Elm and Spring Street garages tonight and tomorrow night, Sunday. After 5:00 pm tonight, out by Monday at 8:00 am = $6.00. Anything outside those hours will be charged at the hourly rate.
This blogger noticed around 4:00 pm this afternoon, that the spots on the Eastern Prom dedicated to snow ban parking as well as Cutter Street were already full.
