The City understands this storm is expected to still be underway through tomorrow, April 4, Thursday morning.  It is unknown at this time whether or not the city will have to call another parking ban for Thursday night.

SO, cars can remain parked at the designated parking areas of the Eastern Promenade, Western Promenade, Marginal Way, State Street and in the city”s off street lots until 8:00 am on Friday, April 5, 2024 – THAT IS WITH THE EXCEPTIONS LISTED BELOW:

School parking lots, Fitzpatrick Stadium Parking Lot, and City-owned Garages.

At 6:30 pm., city hall distributed a press release saying that it will be closed tomorrow because of the severe storm that is expected to arrive overnight.  “Wouldn’t it have been efficient of city hall to have  consolidated all three weather-related announcements into the one sent earlier in the day?” asks this blogger.  “Efficiency matters.”
