City Declares Citywide Parking Ban Beginning Tonight at 10:00 pm Through Saturday at 6:00 am.

Sledding was a Popular Activity on the Eastern Promenade Today.  The Snow Storm Began in Portland Around 11:00 pm LastNight and Continued Through the Night.

The city of Portland  announced this morning that a citywide parking ban is in place starting tonight at 10:00 pm – and running through Saturday, January 21 at 6:00 am.  Vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm tonight can be towed at the owner’s expense.

The city offers numerous free options for parking during a snow ban.  These lots are available after 5:00 pm weekdays.  School lots and unrstricted parking areas can be accessed earlier on weekends when school is not in session.

A towed car can be expensive to retrieve:  Tow Fee – $135; Impound Fee – $35; Ticket Fee – $35. All unpaid tickets will be paid.  No checks accepted, only cash, VISA, Master Card or Discover Card will be accepted.
