Early this afternoon the city of Portland  declared a citywide parking ban beginning at 10:00 pm., Sunday, February 9th through 6:00 am Monday, February 10th.  Vehicles left on city streets after 10:00 pm Sunday night can be towed at the owner’s expense.

The announcement of the parking ban for Sunday evening is being made ahead of the storm as it is expected to start snowing late Saturday night and continue through midday Sunday.  We want to give residents the chance to move their cars into snow ban lots Saturday night in an effort to have as many cars as possible off the road while the snow is falling.
