The Casco Bay Wind Symphony (CBWS) will perform at the city’s Fourth of July celebration this year on the Eastern Promenade.  CBWS contacted the city and offered to play at the fireworks display pro bono.

The band will play from 7:00 pm through the beginning of the fireworks show, which typically starts around 9:15 pm.  The program will incude a mix of patriotic music, popular tunes and a sprinkling of symphonic pieces.  As in previous years, food trucks wlll also be available on the Prom.

The CBWS is a volunteer, non-profit musical organization.  It is asking for sponsors and donations to enable the band to acquire staging and auio production equipment to ensure the music will have a wider audience than it would have without this equipment.
