Bride Carissa Green Arriving at Portland City Hall This Afternoon for Her Wedding to Groom Kyle Kramp. Both are From Napa Valley, California.

The Bride and Groom Exchange Vows on the Sunny  Steps of Portland City Hall with Numerous Family and Friends in Attendance.

Carissa Green and Kyle Kramp were married this afternoon in an outdoor ceremony on the steps of Portland’s City Hall before a crowd of about 100 guests seated in Ganley Plaza.  Officiating in this simply elegant ceremony was the groom’s older brother Adam.

The couple is from Napa Valley, California. They chose to have their wedding in Portland because they had visited Maine many times and loved it here according to the groom’s mother, Lisa Kramp, before the ceremony.

The couple met through a dating service in Indiana four years ago. Kyle graduated from Butler University with a degree in business.  His bride Carissa is a nurse in Napa Valley.

The non-denominatial black and white ceremony began with Adam recalling the groom’s love of baseball where they were raised in Georgia.  His recollections pivoted to his introduction to Carissa and the loving relatiionship he developed with her during the past four years.

Following a brief ceremony and a receiving line outside Portland City Hall, a reception occurred at the newly restored Custom House Wharf overlooking the Portland waterfront.
