On Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 9:32 am., Portland Police Responded to the Bangor Savings Bank at 1071 Brighton Avenue for a report of a robbery.  The suspect entered the Bank and escaped with an undisclosed amout of cash befre fleeing into the wooded area behind the building.  No weapon was observed duriing the robbery.

The Maine State Police and Westbrook Police Department both provided K-9 support to track the suspect.  Officers, assisted by the K9 units conducted an extensive search of the area for several hours, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, green pants, navy blue shoes, blue gloves with a mask and sunglasses.  He is reported to be 5’8″ with a stocky build.
