Ganley Plaza in Front of City Hall was Named for Former City Manager Robert Ganley Who Died Suddenly on December 23, 2000 at the Age of 50.  City Managers Have and Can be As Rude to the Public and Press as They Want Because They are Accountable only to the City Council.  They Are Not Elected by Public Vote.

The City Clerk announced early this afternoon that a public drawing by lot will be held tomorrow, Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Ganley Plaza out front of city hall, to determine the winner of the at-large council race.  None of the four candidates received 50% of the vote.

Neither Brandon Mazer nor Roberto Rodrquez received 50% of the vote required by ranked  choice voting runoff.  The unofficial results indicate a numerical tie between Mazer and Rodriquez – a highly unusual situation.
