Art Contest Hosted by Cheese Louise Accepting Submissions Until January 31st

Bryce Harrison, an owner of Cheese Louise in the Old Port of Portland,  announced today that his company is hosting an art contest for creative souls looking for an opportunity to showcase their talents and get recognition for them.

Cheese Louise is a new casual eatery that focuses on grilled cheese sandwiches and side dishes. This phenomenon arrived in the Old Port in May and has accumulated a following to make any entrepreneur envious.  Harrison and his two business partners began Cheese Louise in a food truck back home in North Conway, New Hampshire in 2018.  Since that time, the three business partners have opened up several similar stores in North Conway,  The Old Port is their most recent establishment with more coming.

The rules for the art contest according to Gianna Giordano, Manager, .are as follows:  The art work must have something to do with Cheese Louise.  Secondly, no art work using profanity or course language will be considered.  Submissions need to be submitted by January 31 to DM Instagram.  Winners will be announced in early February. In addition to serving as Manager, Giordano owns her own retail plant business, Roots and Co.  Her plants are also for sale at Cheese Louise.

The design of the first place winner will be placed on merchandise sold at Cheese Louise.  That merchandise includes sweatshirts, T-shirts and hats. The winner will receive $150.00. and, lastly the winner will also win a free sweatshirt and hat.  The design of the seond place winner will get a sweatshirt and free sandwich card – good for one sandwich.  The design of the third place winner includes a free hat and free sandwich card – also good for one sandwich.

“We try to keep it good here,” said Abbie Tepe, a shift leader who has worked at the Fore Street location since Day One.  From North Conway, she has known the three founders for many years.
