Portland Police have arrested three individuals connected to a shots fired case that took place in the early hours of December 26, 2024 at 139 Cumberland Avenue.  On that date, Police discovered numerous damaged windows and bullet holes to several apartments.  It appeared at the time that more than a dozen rounds were fired into the structure as the area was canvassed with several shell casings found in the snow in Peppermint Park.  No injuries were reported by any of the occupants.

Last night, Portand Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division along with its Special Reaction Team arrested Jeissey Khamis, 18 of Portland; Mogga Yanga, 18, of Portland and an 18 year old who was 17 at the time of the crime and was charged as a juvenile.

All three were charged and transported to Cumberland County Jail.  The 18 year  old was also charged with a separate adult criminal offense, but has jurvenile charges related to this incident, so the Portland Police will not be identifying him.
