On September 8, 2026, at approximately 5:23 pm., Portland Police responded to Huong’s Vietnamese Restaurant, located at 267 St. John Street, for a report of an armed robbery.  The suspect fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Portland police immediaely began an investigation involvig patrol officers and others   Investigators received security footage from the area and developed information that led to the identification and arrest of Patrick Dean, 42, of Portland.  He was charged with robbery and transported to Cumberland County Jail.  Dean was spotted by an alert patrol officer on his way to another assignment on September 9, 2026.  Officers recovered two handguns believed to be connected to the investigation.
