Portland Fine Craft Show Saturday Features Variety of Juried Items for Sale

The Maine Crafts Association will be presenting its fourth Portland Fine Craft Show this weekend.  The one-day Show is on Saturday, August 25th.  It runs from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm and will be located between High and State Streets in Portland.

The beautifully restored gallery at 521 Congress Street currently holds the art work of 110 artists.  Of those, 28 will be featured at the Show on Saturday.  Several of this blogger’s favorites, among many, are pictured herein.

However, the best selling article so far at the retail store is the jewelry of Cathy Heinz Designs according to Wolff, manager of the Association’s retail store.  Cathy’s  professional life has been in the information Technology field, but she has been creating unique jewelry as a hobby for many years.  She has taken metalsmithing classes at the nearby Maine College of Art (MECA).  Heinz creates moden, well made jewelry and one of a kind and limited edition pieces.
