Happy New Year!

America First Legal, (AFL) Stephen Miller, President, has distributed 249 letters to officials in sanctuary communities across the US.  Two of those letters were sent to officials in Cumberland and Hancock counties. The AFL puts elected officials in sanctuary jurisdictions on Notice and warns them of Legal Consequences for violating ..immigration law” according to its webpage.

If you are interested in learning more about the above situation and the non-profit itself under Miller’s leadership, google America First Legal and you will come to a massive pot pourri of information on The Mission of the non-profit.  The MIssion statement includes:  “We believe that all Americans deserve a government that puts their needs, interests and country first.”   In order to accomplish this Mission:  The nonprofit “will oppose the radical left’s anti-jobs, anti-freedom, anti-faith, anti-borders, anti-police and anti-American” agendas.  The Mission of the nonprofit is “the long-awaited answer to the ACLU.  We are committed to an unwavering defense of true equality under law,…freedom of speech and religion…”

What a way to spend New Year’s Day – in between Bowl Games and Brunch – reading of Trump’s  war on our democracy unfold before us.  And he isn’t even president yet!

Stephen Miller, president of the nonprofit, was a long-time member of the first Trump administration and is expected to play a significant policy role in the second Trump administration.
