The ambulance assigned to the Munjoy Hill fire station will again be out of service tonight according to a source familiar with the situation.  The shut-down starts at 2:00 pm.  There is no word when it ends,  however.

These brown-outs began the evening before Thanksgiving and have continued intermintely  since then with no explanation by city manager Jon Jennings or the Acting Interim Fire Chief David Jackson. Both parties have been contacted by this blogger with a request for more information. Jackson’s phone number is 874-8400.

The brown-outs on Munjoy HIll are being conducted to save on overtime expenses it is believed.  Are they going to continue to be announced on a piece meal basis like this and under a “cloak of secrecy”  instead of in a planned and public way?

What is the city hiding? Let’s guess!  This is the beginning of a sneaky, complete shutdown of the ambulance service from the Munjoy Hill fire station.
