Pats QB Drake Maye in Today’s Remarkable Game Against the Buffalo Bills.

Pats QB Maye (Middle) Runs into the End Zone for His Second Touchdown of  the First Half.

Patriots gave it everything they had in their big beautiful loss to Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills in the second half of the game this afternoon.  Patriots easily won the first half. Maye’s quarterback sneak for  a touchdown in the first series of plays was a stroke of genuis in Foxboro, MA; 35 – 31 though.  So the game came out a tie says this disappointed fan!

“Maine voters have shared this sensitive information so they can exercise their right to vote, but they never agreed to let the federal government access that information and ignore the law,” wrote Zach Heiden, chief counsel at the ACLU of Maine.  “The federal government’s attempted overreach can undermine voter trust and data privacy.  Eroding trust in elections can depress voter turnout and serve as the basis for patently false and dangerous claims.  Our federal laws were designed to expand and protect voting rights for all.  We urge the court to uphold Maine people’s voting and privacy rights so voters can remain confident tdhat their personal information is secure and our elections are free and fair.”

These words from attorney Heiden were part of an amicus brief to be filed by the ACLU of Maine accordng to information late last week.. The statement was in response to a lawsuit filed by the Trump Admiistration against Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows and the state of Maine on September 16, 2025. A statement from the ACLU says that the “brief argues that federal and state law protect sensitive voter informtion that should not be shared with the federal government.”

In the press release from the ACLU it states:  “…………..is demanding Maine share its unredacted voter file.  DOJ sued after the secretary of state declined an initial request for the unredacated voter information.  The case and the ACLU of Maine’s brief are before the United States District for the District of Maine.”

The ACLU statement continues:  “The unredacted voter file includes many sensitive details about Maine voters, including birth dates, driver’s license numbers and parts of social security numbers.  The federal government’s demand for this sensitive information with no clear explanation for how it will be used or why it was requested, would violate federal voting law and state privacy law.”

The case is ongoing.  So are the Patriots!
