The third annual Farmhouse Funkadaelic takes place Saturday, April 25, at the Old Port’s popular Novare Res off Exchange Street.  The fun starts at noon and runs through 1:00 am.

Cross Fade, is the blend of two house saissons, from Oxbow Brewery.  They were blended with brettanomyces and bottled in December.  It’s has a funky, slightly citrus and dry taste. “It’s delicious.  “Oxbow does a really good job here.  Portland has a big craft reputation nationally,” said Tony Porreca, visiting from Boston at the Munjoy Hill based brewery on Washington Avenue today. He bought several bottles to take home with him.

Oxbow beers will be featured.  But for sale will be beers from everywhere.  Local beers include Bunker, Liquid Riot Brewery, (formerly Infinniti on Commercial Street). From Baltimore comes Stillwater Brewery beers.   From abroad come Ducato, Italy; Thiriez, France, and Naparier from Spain, according to Chahin K., an owner and manager of the seven year old Novare Res, a/k/a ‘Start the Revolution.’.
