Flags Flying from Munjoy Hill in Support of Ukraine

President Zelensky of Ukraine was ordered from the White House  today following a clash with Convicted Felon Trump according to news accounts on cable news this afternoon.

It was a meeting at which the two were expected to sign a mineral-rights deal.   But  Zelensky was ordered to leave without signing the lease. Zelensky wanted assurances of security from CF in exchange for the agreement.   Zelensky was supposed to give a speech following the stunning verbal assault on him.  But even before lunch had been served, CF ordered the Ukraine team to leave the White House.   It was carried out by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

CF told Zelensky that he should be “grateful” to the US for its aid.  CF told Zelensky:  “Either you make a deal or we’re out.”  However, Zelensky has repeatedly expressed his gratitude to the US for its aid during Russia’s three year illegal attack on Ukraine.  CF accused Zelensky of gambling with World War 111 twice.  VP Vance said that diplomacy is the only answer.  Zelensky said that Putin has not kept promises made in the past through diplomacy.  That angered CF;  talking negatively about Putin that way.  CF clearly expected President Zelensky to grovel and kiss his ring which to his credit, he refused to do.  That was enough grounds to berate the Ukraiinian president as CF and JD did – much to the shame of this nation’s reputation as a pillar of freedom.

Democrat Mike Quigley, co-chair of the Ukraine Caucus,  called the end of the meeting sad.  He said there has been a change in the world order under CF.  “We are now on the side of the bad guys.”  Following the order of President Zelensky to leave the White House by CF, European leaders reacted strongly in support of Zelensky.  Numerous Europen leaders told Zelensky that “we stand with you.”  And, “you are not alone.”

CF berated President Zelensky in the Oval Office when he said:  “Putin went through  a hell of a lot with me.”  And then CF went off on a diatribe in the same vein repulsive to the many who support Ukraine and its struggle to survive against thug Putin –  berating Zelensky as though he were a wayward child.

Senator Lindsey Graham (R) of South Carolina, said:  “Zelensky would have to fundamentally change his position or he will have to step down.”    However, twelve days ago Graham praised President Zelensky saying he was proud to have him as an “ally.”  A Ukrainian spokeswoman said that Ukraine selects its own president and that the US does not.

In an MSNBC cable news statement Ambassador John Bolton said:  “This is one of the most disgraceful performances I’ve seen.  Whether or not JD Vance and CF planned it I don’t know.  I’m sorry they have sided with Putin.”

“This is an embarrassment for the US.  This was a set-up.  You heard Trump say this makes great tv,” said Amb. Susan Rice this afternoon on MSNBC cable news.  “We are dangerously isolated from our allies.  This is a deliberate weakening of the US…………………..to benefit Russia and China.  This is the outcome that Trump wanted.”

What we just witnessed was a planned ambush to enhance Putin,” said Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT).  The ambush by CF and Vance was the completion of the shift to an ally of Russia.

An MSNBC consultant said:  “This was about berating the victim.  That is what Trump wanted everyone to see on television.”

“How does this shift to Putin’s side reduce the cost of eggs?” wonders this blogger.
